In the deliberate efforts channeled to the economic uplift of Imo State of Nigeria, the United Kingdom promises to develop more in the agricultural sector and give a helping hand at issues arising from infrastructure.
While speaking with the civil society organizations and media people in Owerri, The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ms. Catriona Laing explained that the life-filled diligence perceived in Owerri drew the attention of the British and they are ready to partner with them to bring to life all their aims.
While she was spelling out the measures that will put to place to boost the agricultural sector, she made it known the vital stand of the sector in the economy as also the crucial issue in the economy to the UK.
Ms Liang went further to stress the importance of agriculture and she promised to look into methods to support the state. She said;
“We are here to get a better understanding of the state; the challenges and opportunities”
While Ms Liang was analyzing her speech, she said the British Government wants to understand the opportunities, the problems and devise several ways to address these opportunities.
